Job summary

ASEC in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of LVC training systems for Navy and coalition readiness.

The role requires a DoD Top Secret clearance, 10+ years in DoD systems engineering, and proven ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions across live, virtual, and constructive environments. On-site at NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related STEM field is required.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience in DoD programs including architecture, requirements, integration, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing, integrating, and sustaining LVC training environments, distributed simulation systems, tactical networks, and multi-domain training capabilities.
• Experience translating operational and mission requirements into technical solutions with system specifications, ICDs, engineering docs, and technical roadmaps.
• Proven ability to lead technical integration efforts involving multiple stakeholders to ensure interoperability of live platforms, simulators, and C2 systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, integration, testing, and sustainment of LVC training systems.
• Lead systems engineering across complex environments integrating operational platforms, simulation technologies, secure networks, and mission systems.
• Oversee lifecycle management and ensure traceability from mission needs to implementation.
• Develop system architectures, interface requirements, and technical roadmaps.
• Coordinate with fleet representatives to align training capabilities with operational needs.
