Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Systems Security Engineer to support DoD RMF artifacts, CDS and SBSA assessments. The role emphasizes secure system design, automation, and compliance with DoD/IC standards. Onsite in Richardson, TX; TS/SCI clearance is required.

The engineer will design, harden and operate Linux systems, develop Ansible playbooks, and collaborate with engineering teams to uphold secure architectures throughout the lifecycle. Travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable TS U.S. government clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearances.
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, and system accreditation deliverables.
• Linux and Windows administration and hardening experience.
• DoD 8140 certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Ansible automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration and framework duties for factory and deployed systems.
• Lead cybersecurity efforts to achieve ATO status.
• Design, deploy, configure, and harden RHEL in secure architectures.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation artifacts.
• Support RMF accreditation activities and evidence generation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
• Perform SBSA at customer facilities as part of program support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure design.
• Travel up to 25%.
