Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Systems Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity efforts within the Product Cybersecurity Organization. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and will be onsite in Aurora, CO, with travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities include RMF/STIG implementation, ATO validation, and security design across DoD/ civilian programs. You will work with engineering teams to harden systems and ensure compliance with DoD/NIST standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required for start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• DoD 8140.03 compliant certification is required (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
• Experience with RMF and STIG per NIST SP 800-37 and DoD 8510.01.

Responsibilities

• Support RMF documents and controls validation testing for ATOs.
• Review proposed system changes to maintain security posture.
• Implement security improvements by assessing current situation and trends.
• Support cybersecurity requirements, design artifacts, plans and policies.
• Analyze collected cybersecurity data and test results.
• Provide on-site security engineering, systems administration, and cybersecurity support.
• Collaborate with software/engineering teams to enforce cyber policies.
• Travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 25%.
