Job summary

Ngpartners is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to design and assess complex system architectures across enclaves with varying data protection requirements. The role supports DoD RMF processes and STIGs, with a hybrid schedule and location flexibility.

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• 9+ years as an ISSE on large multi‑tiered programs; or 7 years with a Masters.
• Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable and RMF preferred).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer architectures, and networks.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800‑53 and RMF/DIACAP concepts.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II (SSCP, Security+, CCNA‑Security, or GSEC).
• Experience with DISA STIGs/SRGs and vulnerability management tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; hybrid work with Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Design system/network architectures across enclaves with varying data protections.
• Assess risk of integrated open source and COTS/GOTS components.
• Utilize vulnerability management systems and automated scanning tools.
• Prepare authorization documents per DoD policy and RMF requirements.
• Support security planning, risk analysis, and risk management for programs.
• Advise development teams to meet security posture requirements.
• Collaborate with external systems and architectures to enforce trusted relationships.
• Apply DISA STIGs and SRGs in operations.
