Job summary

Tier4 Group seeks an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to serve as a dedicated cybersecurity engineering consultant. Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) with client sites in Chambersburg, PA and Fort Meade, MD; DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53/37 expertise; TS clearance required.

Responsibilities include translating governance into engineering controls, supporting SDLC, risk assessment, and mentoring ISSMs/ISOs; strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• DoD 8140 Work Role 652 - Security Architect Certification or equivalent.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as embedded security engineering expert for partners and teams.
• Translate RMF and NIST SP 800-53 into actionable security controls.
• Review architectures, cloud and on-prem systems for security weaknesses.
• Collaborate with developers to implement control requirements.
• Provide mentorship and present findings to technical and leadership staff.
