Job summary

Enlighten is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to design and assess multi-enclave architectures for big data applications. The role requires DoD RMF/DIACAP experience and the ability to implement STIGs, SRGs, and vulnerable scanning practices.

The candidate will work in a hybrid schedule with weekly in-office presence in San Antonio, TX. A Secret clearance is required, and extensive RMF/DIACAP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• 9+ years as ISSE on large multi-tier programs or 7 years with Masters in related field.
• DoD RMF/DIACAP accreditation experience is required.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, architectures, and topologies.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53 framework and artifact generation.
• DoD 8140 compliance with IAT II certs (SSCP/Security+/GSEC/CNSA).
• Experience with DISA STIGs/SRGs, vulnerability tooling and RMF systems.
• Hybrid work requirement with 1–2 days/week in San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and edit authorization documentation per DoD policy.
• Implement RMF processes and system accreditation.
• Assess risk of open source and COTS/GOTS software components.
• Use vulnerability scanning tools and accreditation records systems.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Interpret STIGs/SRGs and enforce security controls.
• Provide risk analysis and security planning support.
• Guide development team to meet security posture requirements.
• Support trusted relationships among external systems.
