Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to design secure multi-enclave systems and manage RMF processes for DoD-grade security. The role requires strong DISA/STIG experience, familiarity with eMASS/Xacta, and collaboration across diverse teams in a hybrid schedule with occasional on-site in Columbia, MD.

Must have active U.S. security clearance and a background in protecting large, multi-tier programs.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable and RMF preferred).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer architectures, and network topologies.
• Understanding of NIST SP 800-53 framework and artifact generation.
• DoD 8140 compliance with IAT Level II certifications.
• Experience with DISA STIGs/SRGs, vulnerability management, and RMF tooling.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Hands-on experience navigating RMF workflows (eMASS & Xacta).
• Hybrid work schedule requiring 1–2 days weekly at Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and edit authorization documentation per DoD policy.
• Implement RMF accreditation processes and ensure compliance.
• Assess risk of integrated open source and COTS/GOTS components.
• Use vulnerability management tools to scan and track status.
• Collaborate with diverse audiences to gather data and requirements.
• Interpret STIGs/SRGs and apply security controls.
• Establish defensible processes and follow existing ones where prescribed.
• Provide security planning, risk analysis, and risk management support.
• Recommend system-level security solutions to development teams.
• Support trusted relationships across external systems and architectures.
• Apply IA policy to design secure networking and enclave environments.
