Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Senior Subject Matter Expert/Functional Area Expert (SME/FAE) in facilities portfolio management to support the DoD WHS in acquisition and management of its facilities and real property assets in the Washington, DC area.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a Master’s degree in a related field, and 20 years total experience including 10+ years supporting the DoD. The successful candidate will work within the SPD of the WHS FSD, provide strategic guidance to staff,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related technical field is required.
• 20 years of total work experience with 10 years supporting the DoD.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD organizations and ability to collaborate with senior executives across DoD.
• Experience in strategy formulation, execution, and DoD resource planning.
• Expert knowledge of DoD policies, procedures, and problem-solving for senior management challenges.
• Ability to conduct broad analyses and integrate complex factors into decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
• Independently perform functional duties and oversee efforts of less senior staff.
• Respond to client-directed or mission-critical challenges with portfolio management improvements supported by detailed analysis.
• Assist in analyzing and developing improvements for functions including HR, budgeting, logistics, facilities management, security, and contract management.
• Supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data.
