Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is recruiting a District Heating Design Manager to drive DHN opportunities from concept through conversion, leading the technical strategy for sustainable energy growth. You will manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate tender packages while building strong supplier partnerships.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and DHN/energy sector experience, with home-based work and travel to Veolia sites.

Qualifications

Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in energy industry and DHN design.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Drive DHN opportunity development from concept to conversion and lead technical strategy for growth.
Develop winning technical proposals and bid strategies with pre-construction teams on cost models and risk assessment.
Design innovative low-carbon DHN networks compliant with standards and regulations.
Create standardised design methods, procedures and documentation to improve DHN delivery efficiency.
Lead multidisciplinary teams integrating mechanical, electrical, process and civil engineering.
Act as Technical Lead on client presentations and deliver compelling solutions.
Develop tender packages, obtain approvals, and decide on project viability.
Build supplier partnerships, challenge costs and timelines, and manage project risks with escalation processes.
Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence within the DHN team.
