Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering scope for operations, maintenance, and new capital projects in district energy and CHP systems.

This role emphasizes front-end design conceptualization, coordination with external contractors, and ensuring code-compliant, reliable energy solutions across complex facilities. You will guide feasibility analyses, review OEM configurations, and provide technical input for RFIs, permits, and contractor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering (or related).
• 5+ years in design/engineering of power plants and district energy systems.
• PE license is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering scope for operations, maintenance, and new capital projects.
• Conceptualize and front-end engineer design; coordinate with external contractors.
• Review OEM configurations and develop technical input for procurement and RFIs.
• Deliver technical support for permitting and FAT review; manage consultants when needed.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure project success.
