Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Advisor to lead and deliver engineering across operations, maintenance, and front-end design for district energy projects.

You’ll conceptualize designs for power, heating, and cooling, supervise 3rd‑party detailed engineering, and drive technical reviews from conception through startup, with travel up to 50% and hybrid work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years in design/engineering of power plants, chilled water, HVAC or district energy systems in North America.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs for power, heating, and cooling systems with major equipment selection and budget estimates.
• Support procurement and construction with RFPs, specs, design reviews and oversight of 3rd‑party detailed engineering.
• Lead technical reviews and HAZID/HAZOPs, FATs, and development/review of procedures for major equipment and systems.
• Provide permitting and regulatory support for air, fire, water, and low‑voltage systems.
• Ensure reliability and decarbonization efforts for district energy assets and optimization of performance.
