Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead engineers and designers in building construction work packages for electric distribution systems. You will provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and serve as the client liaison on project issues, ensuring compliance with NESC and client standards.

Responsibilities include BOM development, cost estimating, permitting, Right-of-Way, and CIAC calculations, while tracking scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical) required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a master's degree.
• Proven experience leading engineering personnel.
• Strong knowledge of NESC and client construction standards.
• Experience in project management lifecycle: initiate to closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and leadership for project teams.
• Serve as client liaison and point of contact on project issues.
• Collaborate with design managers on schedule adherence and quality.
• Manage capital, reliability, and customer project work including reconductors and conversions.
• Lead resource planning based on client demands and track project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee QA/QC for the design team and report performance metrics.
