Job summary

Censys is seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to help build scalable, data-driven services across our Internet Map Connections team. You will work on large-scale data processing, real-time APIs, and platform capabilities that drive security insights for customers and internal teams.

You will collaborate with ML engineers and security researchers to deliver robust, observable systems, with a focus on maintainability and future extensibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming with Go.
• Experience with cloud providers and message queues.

Responsibilities

• Build large-scale, real-time services leveraging big datasets.
• Develop tooling and services to support security and data platforms.
• Turn prototypes into reliable internal tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design solutions.
• Maintain data pipelines, databases, and cloud/on-prem services.
• Partner with ML engineers and security researchers to influence outcomes.
