Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a mission-critical data and AI platform project. The role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, implementing data governance, and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP Moderate, NIST 800-171, and CUI handling.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analysis-ready datasets for federal background investigation services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable) and version control/CI-CD workflows.
• Knowledge of data governance, cataloging tools, and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or dbt.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-trust, regulated environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build, extend, and maintain a secure, scalable data and AI platform.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and governance best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analysis-ready datasets meeting compliance standards (FedRAMP Moderate, NIST 800-171, CUI).
• Contribute to cloud-native engineering efforts with hands-on execution.
