Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Discovery Business and System Analyst to join a fast-paced legal team. You will document and manage business processes, analyze current and new workflows, and build a requirements database to support training, analysis, and redesign.

The role focuses on validating solutions, conducting analysis of capabilities against business needs, preparing test scripts, and ensuring configuration changes keep the Discovery Program aligned with its business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Document and manage new and existing business processes to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing and new business processes and identify opportunities for improving workforce efficiency
• Conduct analysis of operational business requirements and gap analysis for modifications to existing processes
• Create and maintain a requirements database that documents how each requirement is supported
• Validate that proposed solutions meet the underlying need
• Collect marketing materials from industry solution providers
• Document and manage functional capabilities provided by IT solutions
• Analyze existing capabilities against business requirements to identify technology gaps
• Compare marketing materials and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO prioritization
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver new functional capabilities
• Build and execute test scripts to evaluate capabilities and provide recommendations
• Review solution configuration changes to maintain an accurate picture of business capabilities
• Perform other systems analysis research and documentation tasks as assigned
