Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director of Talent Management to drive business performance through comprehensive talent strategies. You will educate and consult with leaders and Business HR on talent management best practices for a dedicated AbbVie client group.

You will lead a cross-functional Talent team, partner with BHR, and guide leaders to adopt a talent-first agenda. The role focuses on succession planning, development, and senior leader transitions within AbbVie.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Human Resources, preferably Talent Management.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects across matrix environments.
• Influencing and leading teams indirectly to drive outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive audiences.
• Experience developing strategies and implementing associated tactics.
• Leverage senior leaders to sponsor solutions and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Talent team to design and implement a comprehensive talent strategy for key client groups.
• Partner with BHR and stakeholders to align talent and development strategies with AbbVie Talent Management practices.
• Guide leaders to adopt a talent-first agenda and align talent decisions with business strategy.
• Identify top talent and build a deep pipeline through development planning and transitions.
• Lead Performance Management and Talent Reviews and train teams on practices, tools, and processes.
• Provide data-driven insights on talent and development needs to close gaps in the pipeline.
