Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Talent Acquisition - R&D to lead strategic talent acquisition for AbbVie's R&D organization, partnering with RDLT, Business HR and Global TA to anticipate hiring needs and deliver high-impact recruiting solutions.

You will shape TA strategy, coach senior recruiters, and drive data-driven decisions, governance and cross-regional collaboration to ensure workforce success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field.
• Eight or more years of progressive HR experience in large, matrixed, global environments.
• Five or more years in global talent acquisition, executive recruiting or strategic sourcing; experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy and priorities for TA across assigned R&D client groups; align with business strategy and global TA direction.
• Advise R&D Leadership Team, Business HR and Global TA on hiring needs, talent risks and decision influencing.
• Develop customized recruiting and sourcing strategies in real time to address evolving client needs and market dynamics.
• Recruit and manage confidential or business-critical roles, demonstrating leadership and end-to-end search execution.
• Lead advisory work on TA process, governance and resource planning to ensure right operating model and resources.
• Hire, develop and elevate senior recruiters and TA managers with coaching and data-informed delivery.
• Lead global HR and TA initiatives with seamless knowledge transfer and cross-region collaboration.
• Provide data-driven insights on talent trends and recruiting performance to clients.
• Champion AI-enabled tools and advanced recruiting resources to improve efficiency.
• Audit TA processes for compliance and best practices across clients.
