Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director of Talent Management to lead talent strategies that drive business performance. You will educate and consult with leaders and BHR on best practices, and guide executives to build a strong talent pipeline for critical roles.

You will partner across HR and business units to implement development plans, manage performance reviews, and advance strategic talent initiatives that align with AbbVie’s goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years in Human Resources, preferably in Talent Management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead teams indirectly.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive audiences.
• Experience developing strategies and implementing related tactics.
• Experience leveraging senior leaders to sponsor solutions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Talent team to implement comprehensive talent strategy for key roles.
• Partner with BHR and stakeholders to align with AbbVie Talent Management practices.
• Guide HR and business leaders to adopt a talent-first agenda aligned with business strategy.
• Coach leaders to identify top talent and develop a deep talent pipeline.
• Lead Performance Management and Talent Reviews; train on practice, process and tools.
• Consult on all phases of talent management including succession planning and development planning.
• Collaborate to design development to fill gaps in talent pipelines for high potential employees.
• Run forums with senior leaders to drive talent sharing across AbbVie.
