Job summary

Fitch Ratings in New York is seeking a Senior Director to lead business development and external relationship management across the Esoteric ABS and Structured Finance markets. You will originate new mandates, manage key issuers and asset managers, and drive revenue growth in a senior leadership capacity.

The role requires a proven track record in business development, a proactive approach, and strong communication at the executive level, with willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics.
• 10+ years of work experience with strong knowledge of the Esoteric ABS market or broader Structured Finance.
• Demonstrated successful experience in business development, relationship management, and opportunity generation with external market participants.
• An energetic, proactive approach and willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at a senior level.
• Team oriented with ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the ABS and Esoteric markets; originate new ratings mandates; negotiate engagement agreements; support revenue growth.
• Serve as a senior-facing relationship manager for issuers, bankers and asset managers; develop strategic relationships across the Esoteric ABS market.
• Analyze pipeline and market share reports to support business development priorities and market positioning; contribute to budgeting.
• Oversee and develop marketing materials to support external engagement and new business efforts.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams on Esoteric and New Asset events; liaise with other relationship management colleagues.
