Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Director for the RMBS Group in New York. You will lead end-to-end RMBS transaction analysis, assess credit, cash flow, legal and structural risks, and present findings to rating committees.

You will mentor analysts, engage issuers and investors, and contribute to criteria development and market research while advancing methodologic improvements and thought leadership in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant RMBS/ABS experience
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree and/or CFA/FRM is a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including cash flow modeling and handling large datasets
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable engaging senior external stakeholders
• Collaborative, fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and surveillance analysis of RMBS transactions and related assessments
• Own cash flow modeling, scenario design and sensitivity analysis
• Present recommendations at rating committees and document decisions to a high standard
• Drive criteria application and contribute to methodology enhancements
• Produce high-quality research and issuer/investor communications
• Manage issuer and transaction relationships and represent Fitch externally
• Coach and review the work of junior and senior analysts
• Monitor market developments and translate insights into analytical viewpoints
