Job summary

Fitch Ratings, a global leader in credit ratings, is seeking a Director for the Asset-Backed Securities group in New York or Chicago. The role leads complex ABS transaction analyses, develops credit views, and communicates findings to investors and issuers.

Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS and 7+ years in ABS rating, plus strong leadership, writing ability, and data-analysis skills. The position emphasizes North American consumer ABS sectors and market insights.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 7+ years experience in ABS rating.
• Experience managing a team and planning multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written ability to convey credit views.
• Capable of analyzing large data sets and forming conclusions.
• Knowledge of credit fundamentals and current economic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal teams to analyze credit, legal, and structural elements of ABS transactions.
• Lead rating analysis on a portfolio of ABS and engage with investors, issuers and bankers.
• Develop and use cashflow models to form analytical views and recommendations.
• Stay informed on sector trends and communicate views internally and externally.
• Contribute to ratings criteria and bolster analysis with thoughtful recommendations.
• Lead sector trend research reports and related projects.
