Job summary

Fitch Ratings, a leading global credit ratings agency, seeks a Director for the Asset-Backed Securities group in New York or Chicago. You will lead critical ABS transaction analysis, develop credit views, and author market commentary for North American ABS, with initial focus on consumer-related credit sectors.

You will guide deal teams, deploy cash-flow models, and stay ahead of sector trends while communicating findings to investors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus a minimum of 7 years' work experience in ABS rating or related credit field.
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects and teams in parallel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, productivity mindset, and results orientation.
• Excellent written communication to articulate credit views clearly and concisely.
• Willingness to quickly learn new concepts and techniques in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal teams to analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of ABS transactions.
• Drive rating workflows by leading analysis on a portfolio of ABS deals and engaging with investors, issuers, and bankers.
• Develop and deploy credit tools and cash-flow models to form analytical views and recommendations.
• Stay informed about sector trends and communicate views internally and externally.
• Assist in developing ratings criteria and recommendations to strengthen analyses.
• Lead or support sector trend research reports and related projects.
