Horizon Media Inc. in New York is seeking a senior social media leader to oversee strategy, planning, and buying across client campaigns. You’ll drive performance, ensure cross‑functional alignment, and mentor a growing team.

The role emphasizes leadership, analytics, vendor relationships, and staying ahead of platform trends. You’ll partner with executives to deliver integrated social solutions and measurable business results across channels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in social media planning and buying.
• Prior experience in a client contact and leadership role, with experience presenting.
• Experience managing and leading a social media team.
• Relationships with social and content vendors, partners, tools and technologies.
• Thorough understanding of media principles, analytics and concepts.
• Deep understanding of digital measurement capabilities evolving the social space.
• Experienced in direct social media buying platforms (i.e. Facebook Ads Manager) and familiar with social media third party buying platforms (e.g. Kenshoo, 4C Insights).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Oversee social media strategy, planning, and buying across client campaigns.
• Lead and develop a junior to mid‑level social media team, setting goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Analytics, SEM, Programmatic) to create integrated campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with social media vendors and platform partners.
• Drive client satisfaction through data‑driven insights and actionable recommendations.
• Present plans and results to senior leadership and clients.
