Job summary

NXP Semiconductors seeks a highly experienced leader to head SoC Implementation / Physical Design, owning end-to-end PD execution from RTL to silicon for advanced nodes.

You will manage large global teams, drive tapeout readiness, and advance PPA on 5nm and beyond, collaborating with RTL, verification, DFT, and packaging groups to meet aggressive schedules.

This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven track record delivering complex SoCs on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 17+ years in ASIC/SoC physical design.
• Experience leading large-scale SoC programs.
• Strong knowledge of industry EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence).
• Proven track record implementing designs on advanced nodes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end physical design from RTL to signoff across complex SoCs.
• Lead planning, tracking, and execution of PD programs, multi-site teams.
• Develop cross-functional alignment with RTL, DFT, STA, verification, packaging.
• Drive automation, flow optimization, and tool innovation for PD.
• Interface with senior leadership, risk management, and delivery milestones.
