Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior leader to head the SMB Solutions Architecture team for the West US region. You will drive cloud adoption, modern architectures, and generative AI initiatives, while coaching a high‑performing group of Solutions Architects.

You will partner with Sales to align technical and commercial efforts, hire and develop talent, and influence product roadmaps through field insights. This role demands strategic leadership, customer obsession, and deep cloud expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the SMB Solutions Architecture and Sales leadership teams, ensure customer success in building, migrating, and modernizing applications onto the AWS platform, leveraging best practices, modern architectures, and generative AI and agentic patterns.
• In partnership with Sales team, formulate and execute a strategy to drive measurable customer outcomes and AWS adoption across the SMB segment, operating as a paired technical and commercial function alongside your sales counterparts.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solutions Architects; build a high‑performing team with depth across cloud architecture, modern application development, and generative AI
• Serve as the voice of the customer back to AWS service and product teams; surface field patterns from the SMB segment, identify gaps, and deliver feedback that shapes the product roadmap
• Produce and drive thought leadership through blogs, reference architectures, workshops, and conference sessions; guide and motivate your team to create high‑value customer‑facing content and best practices
• Build executive relationships with technical and business decision makers within customer accounts, establishing AWS as their trusted cloud advisor, and act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support
• Define and track success metrics across team performance, customer adoption milestones, and field‑to‑product feedback impact; engage with AWS leadership to surface field insights and drive cross‑organisational alignment
