Job summary

ICON Clinical Research is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development (RWE) to drive growth with pharma and biotech clients from a remote US location. You will lead strategy, identify opportunities, and position Real World Evidence capabilities to meet client needs.

You will build strategic partnerships, lead proposals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 40% to advance opportunities and support ICON's RWE offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, life sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in business development within the clinical research, healthcare, or life sciences sector, with a proven track record of driving growth.
• Proven experience selling Real World Evidence (RWE) solutions and services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
• Strong understanding of the RWE landscape and the needs of pharma/biotech clients utilizing real-world data and evidence-generation solutions.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40%.

Responsibilities

• Direct business development activities to drive growth and align with ICON's objectives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on RWE opportunities.
• Identify and pursue collaborations, partnerships, and client engagements across pharma/biotech.
• Lead the sale of Real World Evidence solutions by assessing client needs and positioning capabilities.
• Lead proposal development and present innovative RWE solutions to prospective clients.
