As a Director, Biotech Strategy Lead, Oncology, you will shape Oncology-focused development strategies for biotechnology clients, lead cross-functional proposals, and translate scientific objectives into executable delivery.

This US-based, remote role requires collaboration across functions and travel up to 25% to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
• Approximately 9+ years in pharma/biotech/CRO with clinical development exposure.
• Oncology therapeutic area expertise.
• Experience supporting business development activities, including proposal strategy and bid defenses.
• Experience translating scientific and operational considerations into strategic, feasible solutions.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a global matrix.

Responsibilities

• Shape differentiated Oncology clinical development and operational strategies for biotech opportunities, translating client objectives into practical, commercially competitive solutions.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and Oncology expert during client engagements, opportunity assessments, and proposal strategy discussions.
• Lead the strategic development of proposals and responses to RFIs, RFPs, budgets, and client requirements.
• Build trusted relationships with biotech clients, understanding their pipelines, priorities, and business objectives.
• Provide strategic oversight from solution development through execution, evaluating feasibility, risks, and performance data.
• Apply Oncology drug development expertise to business strategy and evolving client needs.
• Strengthen ICON's Oncology positioning through cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
