Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Director, RST US Utilization to lead a national utilization organization focused on robotic surgery program adoption and long-term success. The role requires overseeing Robotic Clinical Specialists and Robotic Program Managers and collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Training, and Technical Service to maximize customer outcomes.

The position is remote, with 50%+ travel within the United States, and requires extensive executive interaction with hospital leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in medical device, healthcare technology, healthcare services, or healthcare industry environments or advanced degree with at least 13 years of experience.
• 10+ years of people leadership experience managing sales, clinical, customer success, program management, or equivalent customer-facing teams.
• Ability to travel 50% or more within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a national utilization organization focused on customer adoption, program performance, and long-term robotic surgery program success.
• Develop and execute strategies that drive procedure growth, system utilization, customer retention, and market expansion.
• Partner with commercial leadership to align robotic surgery programs with broader account growth strategies and business objectives.
• Conduct executive-level business reviews with hospital leadership, surgeons, and key stakeholders to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Drive adoption of new technologies, clinical applications, digital solutions, and best practices across customer sites.
• Establish performance expectations, manage resource allocation, and oversee forecasting, budget management, and operational execution.
• Lead customer escalation management, risk mitigation planning, and resolution of complex business and operational challenges.
• Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing leaders and field professionals while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
