Job summary

Kahana Feld seeks a Firmwide Director or Senior Manager of Practice Management to partner with the COO and practice leaders in driving staffing optimization, matter and financial management, and firm-wide initiatives.

You will provide data-driven insights, lead a team of practice managers, collaborate with technology and professional staff, and align practice workflows with client and carrier expectations to improve efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and law degree required; equivalent experience in law firm management or legal operations may be considered.
• Experience supporting insurance defense practice areas strongly preferred.
• Experience in a law firm environment with cross-functional business processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to the COO, practice leaders, and firm leaders on management and staffing.
• Develop and monitor practice goals, strategic initiatives, and priorities.
• Review matters for staffing, team composition, and attorney assignments.
• Monitor attorney workload, utilization, and capacity; advise on resource adjustments.
• Lead implementation of practice management initiatives and training programs.
• Provide cross-functional coordination to support practice objectives.
