Job summary

Kahana Feld LLP seeks a Firmwide Director or Senior Manager of Practice Management to partner with the COO and practice leaders. You will optimize attorney staffing, monitor utilization, and guide matter and financial management across the firm.

With strong legal industry knowledge, you will lead cross-functional teams, implement initiatives, and deliver data-driven insights to improve efficiency, collaboration, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and law degree required; equivalent experience in law firm management, legal operations, professional services, project management, or practice management may be considered.
• Strong understanding of practice management, matter staffing, attorney utilization, workload and capacity management, operational reporting, and cross-functional business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and build relationships with attorneys and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to the COO, practice leaders, and firm leaders on practice management, staffing, and resource matters.
• Partner with practice leaders to develop and monitor goals, strategic initiatives, and operational priorities.
• Review matters and advise on staffing and attorney assignments throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
• Monitor attorney workload, utilization, and capacity; identify trends and recommend resource adjustments.
• Lead the implementation of practice management initiatives, training, and process improvements.
