Elgin Community College seeks a dynamic Senior Director of Performing Arts to lead a multi-venue arts center with a $1.7M instructional and auxiliary portfolio. You will oversee artistic programming, contract negotiations, marketing strategy, and financial stewardship to ensure mission-aligned, fiscally sustainable operations.

The role supervises faculty and staff, supports music programs including private lessons and ensembles, and builds partnerships with in-residence ensembles, community arts

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in arts, nonprofit administration, business, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree with substantial leadership experience.
• Minimum of seven (7) years in senior leadership of a nonprofit, including budget and P&L responsibility, contract authority, and supervision of cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, marketing, and achieving organizational goals.
• Proven experience managing mixed income streams: earned revenue, grants, contributed income.
• Experience cultivating internal and external partnerships to advance mission and program effectiveness.
• Knowledge of performing arts venue management including marketing, box office, CRM, production, and front-of-house.
