Job summary

Governors State University seeks an Executive Director for the Center for Performing Arts to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of all programming, education initiatives, and community engagement.

Reporting to the Division of Arts and Letters, the ED will drive revenue generation, partnerships, and fundraising while guiding staff and budgeting to maintain the center as a premier regional arts destination in the south suburbs of Chicago.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in arts management or related field.
• Experience securing contributed revenues including grants and donor support.
• Five+ years of executive or senior management in arts organizations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Center for Performing Arts and manage the budget.
• Develop revenue-generating and fundraising strategies with the GovState Foundation.
• Lead CPA staff and align activities with GovState's strategic direction.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners on programming and contracts.
• Engage campus and community, leveraging CPA spaces for events.
