Job summary

Nourish in New York City is seeking a (Senior) Director of People Business Partnership to build and lead the function from scratch. You will define responsibilities, design the org structure, hire the first team, set strategy, and drive scale.

This role reports to the VP of Operations & People and is open to NYC-based candidates, with in-person work ~3 days per week. You will partner with the executive team and department heads to maximize talent density, influence org design, performance

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of strategy, operations, or startup experience.
• Direct People/Talent experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and influence with executives.
• Data-driven thinker using first principles.

Responsibilities

• Be our first formal People Business Partner, aligning with department heads.
• Design org structure, key roles, and hire the first team.
• Set goals and roadmaps; define success metrics for the function.
• Partner with executive leaders to drive performance and culture.
• Lead cross-functional programs to boost talent density.
