Capital One is seeking a Senior Director of Risk Management to lead the Payment Success Program and safeguard the Global Payment Network. You will partner with executives across lines of business, drive risk-based initiatives, and mentor a high-performing team of risk and payment professionals.

You will influence strategic decisions, govern data ecosystems, and push for innovation in fraud mitigation, authorizations, and disputes while delivering measurable improvements in transactional health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Risk Management.
• 3+ years experience in Operations Management.
• 3+ years experience in Project Management.
• 3+ years experience in People Management.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Payment Success Program focusing on fraud, authorizations, and disputes.
• Lead and scale a team of risk specialists to drive ecosystem resilience.
• Advise GPN Executives with strategic risk insights for the Global Payment Network.
• Govern data ecosystems and set robust security standards across the network.
• Drive cross-functional analytics and metrics to inform leadership decisions.
• Create lifecycle management strategies for network participants.
• Foster collaboration between data science and operations to solve complex challenges.
• Recruit and mentor a 15-20 person team with a culture of accountability.
