Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Oncology Project Management to provide strategic operational leadership and portfolio-level oversight for the oncology PM organization.

The role focuses on building a high-performing PM team and ensuring execution excellence across the full development lifecycle, from Phase 1 to global launch, with capacity planning and governance at the fore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred (Ph.D., PharmD, MS, or MBA).
• PMP or equivalent PM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and foster an elite oncology PM team across Phases 1 to launch.
• Coach PMs to identify critical path dependencies and manage cross-functional execution.
• Implement individualized development plans, succession planning, and capacity management to prevent burnout.
• Maintain high-level milestone tracking and risk profiles.
• Translate clinical plans into integrated operational roadmaps for pipeline assets.
• Bridge staffing gaps by stepping in to manage projects when needed.
• Guide PMs for governance committees with data-driven pre-reads.
• Perform trade-off analyses balancing timelines, cost, resources, and risk.
• Oversee budget variances and multi-million-dollar program allocations.
• Lead process optimization and adoption of PM tools like Planisware.
