Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Director II Sales, SLED to oversee all sales activities for the Lumen Solution portfolio within State, Local Government, and Education sectors. You will lead a team of 5–7 sales professionals, drive growth, and ensure profitability across the East region.

Based in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, or Southeast, you will coordinate account plans, forecast revenue, and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver secure, high‑performing infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of telecom or related technology sales experience.
• Five plus years of sales management experience with SLED or Federal in telecommunications or a technology-based industry.
• Experience in building strategic plans for sales team growth and development including account and activity planning and development.
• Experience in mentoring, training, and developing high-performance sales teams.
• Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage sale of entire product portfolio including Networking, Cloud, Security, Managed Services, and Datacenter solutions to meet revenue targets.
• Perform account planning and positioning for Growth Accounts in SLED vertical.
• Responsible for quota attainment, realigning modules of accounts, and meeting monthly targets while delivering outstanding service.
• Train, coach, mentor, motivate and conduct performance reviews for a team of 5-7 sales representatives.
• Manage day-to-day sales activity, funnel activity, territory management, and customer-focused sales efforts for SLED executives.
