Job summary

ComPsych is modernizing its data organization. As Senior Director of Data, you will own our data strategy, analytics, data governance, and AI enablement, and partner with leaders across the company to improve how data informs operational and strategic decisions.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll guide a multi-year transition to a modern platform, establish a data science function, and ensure data is accessible and trusted across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data leadership, including 4+ years managing teams.
• Led a legacy-to-modern data platform migration.
• Direct experience with Databricks and Power BI, or a comparable modern cloud data/BI stack.
• Built or scaled a data science or analytics function, including hiring its first members.
• Strong fundamentals in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance, with experience managing external partners while growing in-house capability.
• Excellent communication skills; able to present data strategy to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the data strategy and roadmap for the company.
• Modernize the platform and retire legacy systems, migrating to Databricks and Power BI.
• Build data connectivity across the company to a single accessible platform with governance and quality.
• Create a data science function from scratch and define its charter and partnerships with product/engineering.
• Grow and develop a team of reporting, data, and analytics engineers and establish best practices.
