Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Associate Warden of Programs to manage a wide range of offender programs at Warren Correctional Institution. You will oversee services from classification to education, supervise staff, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role includes dual supervision for medical, dental and psychological sections, and may serve as acting Administrator when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of supervisory or management level experience in correctional programs.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Programs section, including classification, chaplaincy, recreation, transitional services, and healthcare.
• Supervise staff, manage recruitment and performance processes, and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare reports and coordinate communication among staff, offenders’ families, attorneys, agencies and the public.
