Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks an experienced administrator to lead Warren Correctional Institution’s program services. The role oversees case management, religious services, treatment and rehabilitation programs, and transitional services for offenders.

You will supervise staff, manage resources, and ensure compliance with Department manuals while guiding program effectiveness across the facility. A strong leadership background in correctional programs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of supervisory or management level experience in correctional programs.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as per the posting.
• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for a wide range of facility programs including classification, chaplaincy, recreation, transitional services, work assignments, and healthcare.

We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkThis position manages the Program services at Warren Correctional institution.This is a medium custody male facility.The Assistant Superintendent of Programs oversees the Programs section, which provides a large variety of programs and services to the offender population, including Case Management, Religious Services, treatment and rehabilitation programs, volunteer programs, and transitional services.This position has dual supervision responsibilities for the medical, dental and psychological sections.This position is also responsible for providing an offender labor force for the entire facility.This position may serve as acting Administrator in the absence of the Administrator.
