CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of Software Engineering who thinks like a founder, executes like a principal engineer, and leads at the highest levels of the industry. You will set the bar—and then raise it.

You will drive technical strategy across a multi-team engineering organization (50-150+ engineers), embedding LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, and ML-powered automation into production systems while owning delivery at velocity and accountability for outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading large teams.
• Experience building systems serving tens of thousands of users.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy across a multi-team engineering organization (50-150+ engineers).
• Set architectural standards and review/work to elevate engineering across teams.
• Embed LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, and ML-powered automation into the lifecycle.
• Own delivery at velocity and be accountable for outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Health care leaders to translate strategy into bets.
