Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in the Washington DC area seeks a Program Manager to provide leadership for the Naval Electronics Mission Systems line, covering the full lifecycle from development to sustainment.

You will monitor cost, schedule and performance, develop recovery plans, and coordinate with customers, BD, and engineering. Strong PM background in aerospace/defense and DoD clearance readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering or business degree required; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• PMP or DAU level 3 certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of program management tools and procedures.
• Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting.
• Experience in aerospace/defense programs and customer liaison.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership across the full life cycle: development, production, sustainment.
• Track cost, schedules and performance; report to management stakeholders.
• Develop and implement recovery plans for yellow and red programs.
• Lead integrated product teams and coordinate with customers and BD/marketing.
• Manage program reviews, risk, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure lean/process improvement principles are applied throughout the program.
• Develop internal relationships with stakeholders and mentor PM staff.
