Leonardo DRS is seeking a Senior Director Programs to lead the Mission Systems line of business in a hybrid Washington, DC area role. You will oversee full life cycle management for complex aerospace/defense programs, coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires extensive program management experience, advanced leadership skills, and a track record of delivering multi-million dollar programs.

Qualificações

• Engineering or business degree required; Masters preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant program management experience.
• PMP or DAU level 3 certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of program management tools and procedures.
• Strong leadership and influence management and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience managing aerospace/defense programs from development to sustainment; proposals, requirements, SOWs, risk mgmt, and improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide program leadership across the Mission Systems LOB life cycle (development, production, sustainment).
• Track program cost, schedule and performance against milestones; report to management regularly.
• Develop and implement recovery plans for yellow and red programs.
• Ensure adherence to program management directives and methodologies.
• Collaborate with customers to capture feedback on performance.
• Coordinate with business development, marketing and sales to expand the portfolio.
• Lead or participate in monthly program reviews; manage IPTs.
• Manage inventory and internal R&D programs within the LOB.
• Foster relationships with management stakeholders; coach and mentor PM staff.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and corrective action; drive continuous improvement.
• Identify future opportunities with existing customers and new solutions.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve processes and outcomes.
• Develop methodologies for leading vs lagging indicators in programs.
• Create processes for risk assessment, monitoring, and mitigation throughout the lifecycle.
