Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing to set the vision and lead daily operations across product development, clinical research, quality, compliance, and commercial activities.

This global role requires doctorate-level credentials and 20+ years of medical/clinical affairs experience, with international travel and strong collaboration with KOLs to advance Specialty Testing programs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level requirement (M.D., Ph.D, Pharm.D, DNP) with a minimum of 20 years of medical & clinical affairs experience.
• Board-certified hematologist or equivalent clinical expertise.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong leadership and team-building ability in a matrix environment.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills; stakeholder influence at multiple levels.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with strategic goal setting.

Responsibilities

• Steer collaborative efforts between business leaders and research teams to define bench and human clinical priorities for product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing.
• Lead global strategies for health economics, policy, and reimbursement for Beckman solutions.
• Build and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to drive scientific exchange and shape future technology directions.
• Translate clinical and scientific insights from external partners into actionable guidance for product development teams.
• Support pre-launch initiatives, commercialization, and life-cycle management through education and evidence generation.
