Job summary

The Door seeks a seasoned Director of Institutional Giving to lead the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Giving program, reporting to the VP of Advancement. You will supervise three Grant Managers and steward a portfolio of foundation, corporate, and government funders, generating approximately $8 million in annual revenue for The Door and Broome Street Academy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible institutional fundraising experience including foundation, corporate, and government grants.
• 2-3 years of staff supervision and team leadership experience.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Institutional Giving team and supervise three Grant Managers.
• Oversee portfolio of 30-40 private and public institutional funders and manage proposals, reports, budgets, and donor communications.
• Draft, review, and edit grants, reports, letters of inquiry, budgets, and donor communications to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Support revenue planning, pipeline management, fundraising forecasting, and portfolio strategy.
