Job summary

Dream.Org in the Bay Area or Washington, DC is seeking a Director, Institutional Giving to own the foundation and corporate fundraising engine, manage a high-volume grant writing workflow, and ensure timely reporting.

Reporting to the VP of Growth & Partnerships, you will lead proposal strategy, steward funders, and oversee development operations with independence while training staff as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in grant writing and grant management for nonprofits.
• Experience managing foundation/corporate relationships and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to secure six-figure grants as lead author or strategist.
• Experience with revenue planning, forecasting, or KPI tracking with senior leadership.
• Experience developing grant budgets with finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of grant writing, submission, and reporting across 75+ proposals per year.
• Own proposal strategy, funder stewardship, and compliance with grant requirements.
• Develop grant work plans, timelines, and calendar in Asana; meet internal deadlines.
• Prepare leadership for funder meetings and support five- to seven-figure opportunities.
• Manage Salesforce prospecting and reporting; ensure data integrity.
