Job summary

Transamerica in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Director of Technology to lead the technology organization supporting HR, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Communications. This highly visible role balances strategic planning with hands-on roadmap execution and a $50M+ annual portfolio.

You will manage a 30–40 person team, partner with senior leaders, drive data governance and security, and align platforms like Workday, FinScan, and TeamMate with enterprise priorities in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
5+ years managing large, complex technology organizations (30+ FTE) and budgets over $50M.
Experience leading technology for corporate/enabling functions such as HR, Legal, Compliance, Audit, or Finance.
Direct experience with core HR tech platforms (Workday) and related ecosystem.
Experience with compliance/risk tech platforms (e.g., FinScan, TeamMate) is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery for HR, Legal, and Compliance.
Lead technology for Audit and Compliance with scalable, regulated platforms.
Oversee Legal and Communications tech governance, tooling, and support models.
Manage a $50M+ annual technology portfolio, budgets, and vendor contracts.
Develop multi-year roadmaps and prioritize investment based on value.
Partner with senior leaders to align technology strategy with business priorities.
