Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a senior IT leader to define and drive technology strategy across protections solutions and financial assets. You will lead a large, distributed team, modernize platforms, and manage cloud, data, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.

The role requires strong business acumen, extensive budget experience, and the ability to influence executives across a global organization. Hybrid or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 15 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading large, distributed technology organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud and platform modernization initiatives.
• Solid understanding of business principles, organizational design, change management, etc.
• Large scale budget experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technology strategy for Protection Solutions and Financial Assets, driving measurable reductions in cost per policy/participant while aligning to enterprise business objectives.
• Partner with business leaders across life and annuities to shape future-state capabilities and deliver technology solutions that enhance customer experience and efficiency.
• Lead a large, multi-layered technology organization, setting direction for leaders and teams responsible for modernization, stability, and cloud, data, AI initiatives.
• Drive modernization efforts including cloud transformation, data integration, and AI-enabled capabilities, while ensuring performance and reliability of cloud systems.
• Expand standardized architecture and technology practices across interdependent systems.
• Lead vendor and managed services oversight and strengthen internal engineering maturity.
• Direct evaluation of platforms and tools to ensure compatibility with evolving business needs.
• Oversee demand, capacity, and financial management for prioritization and delivery against goals.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive programs that improve service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Communicate technology strategies and business impacts to senior leaders with data-driven insights.
