Job summary

Yahoo Sports in Reston, VA seeks a Senior Director of Growth & Subscriptions to own growth and engagement across Fantasy, Fandom & Community, Content, and future launches. This is a senior growth leadership role with a mandate to drive adoption and grow the subscription business.

The role partners with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Content to embed growth into every product, define onboarding, activation, and retention strategies, and lead paywall optimization and in-product virality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or growth for consumer-facing, high-scale digital products.
• Proven track record driving engagement, adoption, and retention across a product portfolio.
• Experience operating a subscription or D2C business with revenue accountability across conversion, activation, and retention.
• Strong growth skills: onboarding flows, engagement loops, A/B testing, paywall optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own growth and engagement across Yahoo Sports product portfolio (Fantasy, Fandom & Community, Content, and new launches).
• Drive adoption, engagement, and retention; lead in-product onboarding and feedback loops.
• Own and grow the subscription business (Yahoo Fantasy+ and future offerings).
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Content, and Business Development.
• Build data-informed strategies; develop dashboards and cohort analyses to guide decisions.
• Create a culture of ownership, experimentation, and accountability across teams.
