Job summary

New Jersey Community Capital is seeking a Managing Director of Resource Development & Communications to lead fundraising, capital strategies, and communications. You will cultivate major funders, manage a pipeline, and drive annual revenue plus multi-year plans in collaboration with senior leadership.

You will oversee grant proposals, reporting, and government affairs, while partnering with program, lending, and real estate teams to report impact data and advance NJCC's mission.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in resource development or fundraising.
• Strong network with foundations, donors, government funders, and financial partners.
• Proven track record of securing gifts, grants, and capital.
• Ability to manage fundraising pipeline with minimal supervision.
• Experience with grant writing and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead NJCC's fundraising and capitalization efforts, setting annual revenue goals and multi-year plans.
• Cultivate and steward a personal portfolio of major funders to meet goals.
• Proactively schedule meetings with funders and maintain a pipeline of prospects.
• Identify and pursue new capital, grants, sponsorships, and PRI opportunities.
• Develop and oversee grant proposals and funder communications.
• Coordinate donor campaigns and major solicitations; manage sponsor relations.
• Represent NJCC at conferences and funder events to expand capital sources.
• Oversee communications and marketing strategy, brand messaging.
• Oversee government affairs activities in coordination with senior leadership.
