Job summary

UMass Boston is seeking a Senior Assistant Director for First-Year Recruitment to join the Undergraduate Admissions Office. You will lead outreach to prospective students and coordinate on- and off-campus visits, building partnerships with high schools, community colleges, and community-based organizations to influence enrollment.

You will monitor prospects and applications in your recruitment territory, develop strategies to convert prospects to enrolled students, and participate in admissions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years in post-secondary undergraduate admissions.
• Experience in recruitment, applicant reading and counseling students.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and a thorough understanding of new (first year) student recruitment and enrollment.
• Strong data background and experience using CRM software for recruitment planning and decision making.
• Experience with Slate Technolutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on- and off-campus visits and develop partnerships with high schools, community colleges and/or community agencies.
• Monitor prospects and applications in the assigned geo-territory and develop conversion strategies.
• Review admission applications and render decisions to meet enrollment goals for targeted pools.
• Conduct information sessions and provide career and enrollment counseling to various student groups.
• Track, collect and analyze prospect and applicant data related to access-based programs and provide reports.
